Almond blossom

It's almond blossom time again, I never tire of seeing this each year, delicate, pretty pastel shades and the promise of warmer temps, balmy evenings and new beginnings. When we have visitors from the UK they seem to be amazed at the greenery, blossom, flowers, brightness, I think they expect dried desert and barren land.  Certainly not the case for where we are, can't vouch for other places but here.......

cactus garden onto the casita area

cactus garden, that was, now being revamped, (slowly!)

into the valley

What seems to be an absolute age ago I put up this picture
actually it was October,
All those little pieces have now turned into this, and I can now say a UFO is now finished yeah......
Yesterday we met up with our friends from the village for a late lunch, had a great time and this little rabbit was for their granddaughter, finished just in time to be taken back to the UK.

Must go, paella on the stove, sun shining, enjoy your Sunday, take care

  1. Your rabbit is the cutest thing!! Great to have a FO instead of a WIP hey! Your views are stunning, the terraces, the blossom on the trees, absolutely beautiful. Your Sunday sounds lovely and very cheery! Hope that you have a great week Chrissie. xx

    1. Thank you Amy, its quite flexible too, just right for tucking up under the chin for a cuddle. We have a space we call the mountain terrace which is great for just sitting quietly, conpemplating and looking at the view. The other way, peaking through the bushes we have a sea view too.

  2. What lovely photos and views - you're a long way ahead of us in the march to Spring! It's still far too cold here for the blossom to be out, though today I dried my washing outside...it's been too miserable to do that the last week or so.
Lovely rabbit. Hope you enjoyed your Sunday paella.

    1. Always something to see, just hope the high winds don't return and ruin it, had to double peg the washing the other day, otherwise I could see our smalls disappearing off into the valley and the ostrich farm lol. Up in the naya in the sun having paella, what more could you ask for?

    1. Paella was good, traditionalists would curl up as I put prawns, chicken, mussels allsorts in it, and not a chick pea in sight! lol certainly works for us

  4. Awww, the bunny is so cute, I love his floppy ears. Your view is amazing, absolutely beautiful, and perfect with the almond blossom in the foreground.

  5. Thanks Jo, it's the second bunny I've made, I can see a few more on the horizon too. We are very lucky to have such lovely diverse views, certainly makes up for the 15minute trip up the windy (bumpy) mountain road. We are rather stay at home birds so in 'normal' times we only go up/down a couple of times a week.
