I would like to.....

....introduce to you
Our first Grandie, a beautiful little girl, born Saturday 9th August 2014 at 11.54am, weighing 7.2lbs

Although we were unable to be there, Daniel and Shine skyped two hours after she was born
these photos were taken from our computer screen, 
We shared another two hours with them, looking in wonder at this beautiful girl created in love
The baby has a full head of hair, about 2" long and long enough for Shine to be able to brush it!
She also has a very well developed set of lungs! which she showed off with great volumn and determination

They haven't decided on a name yet but they think Fleur will be among them

It feels really surreal to see my child nurturing his own child, still can't take it in that there is now another generation of our family.
Like me, her Auntie Rebecca is itching to meet her and have copious cuddles

    Congratulations to all concerned, she's absolutely beautiful. I remember my niece being born with lots of dark hair like that, she had her first haircut at about a month old yet she's really fair now. So are you Grandma or Nana? Can't wait to hear the name they decide on, Fleur is very pretty.

      Thanks Jo, I shall be Grandma, we have always used that name in the family and I have very fond memories of my grandma. Daniel and Shine said yesterday on skype they wanted to get to know her a little better before agreeing on final names. Shine has 3 plus two surnames, just like Spain they keep the maiden name along with the married one. I like Fleur too, I can't wait either, it's a bit funny just calling her baby poole. xcx

    Oh the things that happen when I am away and then get so behind with blog reading. I just had my blog open and thought to read yours to see what was happening in your world. How wonderful to welcome your little Granddaughter, even if it was on Skype. She is so beautiful, and you must be yearning for some Grandie cuddles. Congratulations to you and Chris as well as Daniel and Shine - and Rebecca too.
