We had some errands to run in Calpe on Friday, one of them being to choose a wedding present. Must say, it was one of those more pleasurable trips when everything seems to work. We found parking outside the various shops we wanted and whilst Chris sat in a cafe I had the chance to whip into Casa, where I found certain items on 50% discount, so I was able to buy a few Christmas stocking items - the nearest I got to Christmas in July! All shopping completed and all items ticked off the list.
We saw this on the beach, now that's what I call a sand castle!
how brilliant is that, along with the horse, the guy must have a full time job keeping it damp
Yesterday saw us in Villajoysa, just outside Benidorm
We were the official videographers for a beach wedding. Lovely setting and of course beautiful sunshine.
We actually stayed longer than scheduled, but we are so pleased we did, as we filmed many candid shots that would have been otherwise missed. So important to go that extra mile and its lovely to capture the atmosphere etc that the happy couple may have missed. We each had a video camera and so were able to film from different angles and mingle in different areas with the guests after the ceremony .
All in all an excellent result, now comes the processing of the files
Its all about networking isn't it? I identified the wedding planner and he was really pleased to receive our business cards to incorporate into their packages, also the florist asked for a card for her forthcoming wedding, so with luck we shall be back there again :-)
off to find somewhere cool to do some hand quilting
take care xcx
Thank you for your lovely comment over at mine today Chrissie, I liked your cross stitch saying and some others have commented on your saying too! That sand castle really is something else isn't it! Definitely not what you normally see on the beach. It sounds as though the wedding videoing is going well too, you should get lots of recommendations! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy, the castle is still there, so whether he sleeps on the beach to look after it, I don't know. Hopefully we will, being in a wedding destination area helps xcx
DeleteThose sand models are amazing.... and lovely to do the wedding... you do surprise me with the versatility and energy you have...

Thanks Fiona, We have been doing some real estate but the weddings are something else. Mind you a bit of trepidation making sure you have got everything just so. So much better with digital too, being able to see immediately whats being shot. xcx
DeleteWow those are amazing sandcastles-what incredible detail. The wedding looks gorgeous-it must be fun to do that especially in such a beautiful place. Well done on the Christmas shopping-the earliest I've ever done any is September but then I completely forget what I've bought and end up buying more! xx
ReplyDeleteOh I do so sympathise with that, I do the same lol but the saying is true, I saw this and thought of you! I cant wrap or I would be done in. With the wedding of course we can only do with whatever we are given but it still doesn't stop us wanting to do a little more xcx
DeleteI do love the sand sculptures - and a castle, however predictable, is always lovely to see on the beach.
ReplyDeleteWedding photography sounds like a great way to join in and enjoy a happy day. Hope this one leads to many more.

Thanks Annie, it felt a little fraught at times, trying to be in the best place, but as we had two cameras we could compliment each other with our shots.Look forward to many more. The hard work that had gone into building the castle seemed nothing to the effort in keeping it damp xcx
DeleteThanks Annie, it was a little fraught at times trying to be in the right place at the right time, but we look forward to doing more. I think it was just as hard work to keep the castle damp as to build it in the first place xcx
DeleteThe sand sculptures are fantastic, each individual brick is defined in the sandcastle, there's some really talented people out there. The venue for the wedding looks beautiful, it sounds as though you might have picked up some extra business, well done.
ReplyDeleteHi Jo, the horse was very realistic too, but yes, very detailed. It's all down to advertising now, everything shuts down now for August, but we are hopeful for more real estate work come September xcx
DeleteHi Jo, the horse was also very realistic, but yes the detail was brilliant. Everything slows down here for August, just ticking pace, but we are hopeful for more real estate work come September xcx
