Our little micro climate missed out on the rain again yesterday
Inland they had storms, some dry where the lightening started some fires
There was a serious one north of us where over 2500 army personel, 21 water planes and ground crews attended. So sad with 40 homes lost but no casualties thank goodness.
We have a complete ban on any type of fire including gas bbq´s, so why are they still selling disposible ones in the supermarkets etc, daft! especially when villa owners do not put warnings in their infomation packs for guests about the ban.
We have a birthday boy today
2 years old, time flies
Monster
Butter wouldn´t melt!
Just a little more done on the cot quilt and a little knitting too
Bit hot really
I´ll leave you with last nights sunset, very pretty
If you are wondering why there is a wire fence with tin cans on it, next door put this eyesore up a few weeks ago, ugly, dangerous, but there is no telling some folk
enjoy your Sunday
take care
xcx
I hope they've got the fires under control, I remember last year where they went on for such a long time. It's terribly sad when people lose their homes in this way but at least they're safe. Happy birthday to Monster, he's such a handsome boy. It's eight years today since Archie came to live with us, he was thirteen weeks old at the time. Why on earth have your neighbours put the tin cans on the fence? Lovely sunset.
ReplyDeleteMost of the fires are out thank goodness. Our neighbour has some weird ideas, but the wire fence is the sort that is used to reinforce concrete and therefore not seen! It has dangerous spikes on the top so the cans are his way of protecting the spikes?? But it happens to be on the road through the ermita/plaza, eyesore or what!! xcx
ReplyDeleteThat sunset is lovely and happy birthday to Monster.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Been missing good sunsets these past weeks so it was nice to see. Perhaps we live up to the name of mad cat persons lol xcx
DeleteYou're right that is quite an eye sore. Wonder what the point is? The fires have been so sad to see, so much damage. Thankfully, as you say no deaths.
ReplyDeleteSandy's Space
No point as far as we can see, just being difficult as usual! We have just had a few days of storms which has dampened the ground thankfully xcx
